  • 6 Tbsp butter (divided; melted and softened)
  • 4 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (plus more as needed)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, egg, melted butter, sugar, and salt. Whisk until blended.
  2. Gradually add flour while mixing with a spatula until dough forms and is no longer sticky. Knead for about 3 minutes.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for about an hour.
  4. For the filling, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.
  5. Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread the filling evenly, then roll tightly into a log. Cut into eight rolls using dental floss.
  6. Place rolls in a greased baking pan and let rise again for another 30 minutes. Bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes until golden.
  7. For frosting, beat together softened butter, cream cheese, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread over warm rolls.
