- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 2 cups + 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 package (3 oz) strawberry-flavored gelatin mix
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
- 24–30 chocolate kiss candies
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and mix well. Stir in the strawberry gelatin powder.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
- Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange chilled dough balls on a baking sheet and bake for 11-13 minutes.
- After removing from oven, gently press a chocolate kiss into each cookie while still warm. Allow cooling completely on a wire rack.
