  • 4 pounds baby back pork ribs
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper (cracked)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 3 tablespoons garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the underside of the ribs and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, cumin, and optional chili powder. Rub this mixture over both sides of the ribs and drizzle with olive oil. Cover with foil and bake for 2 hours.
  4. For the sauce, combine barbecue sauce ingredients in a bowl during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  5. After baking, uncover the ribs and generously apply the barbecue sauce. Increase the oven temperature to 460°F (240°C) and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Broil on medium-high heat for about 3 minutes to caramelize the edges.
  7. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
