  • 200 grams sourdough discard (1 cup stirred and unfed starter)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • Optional seasonings: flaky sea salt, everything bagel seasoning, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a mixing bowl until lukewarm.
  3. Add the sourdough discard and fine sea salt to the melted butter; stir until well mixed.
  4. Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into an even layer.
  5. Sprinkle with your choice of seasonings lightly before baking.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes; then score into squares using a pizza cutter.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool completely on the baking sheet before storing in an airtight container.
