Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (46 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons Tajin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 large ripe avocado (diced)
  • 1 large mango (diced)
  • 1/2 red bell pepper (diced)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 jalapeño (seeded and minced)
  • 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (plus more to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, maple syrup, lime juice, garlic, and spices. Add salmon fillets and coat well. Marinate for at least 20 minutes.
  2. While the salmon marinates, prepare the mango salsa by mixing diced avocado, mango, bell pepper, cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, and salt in a separate bowl.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (400-450°F). Brush grill grates with oil.
  4. Grill salmon fillets for about 8 minutes or until they flake easily with a fork.
  5. Serve the grilled salmon topped with mango salsa.
