  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (packed)
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth; set aside.
  3. Mix melted butter and sugars in another bowl, then add eggs and pumpkin puree until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt; gently fold into the wet mixture.
  5. Fill muffin cups halfway with batter, add cream cheese filling, then top with more batter and sprinkle pecans on top.
  6. Bake for about 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
