Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box Yellow Cake mix (15 oz)
  • 1 can Pumpkin Puree (15 oz)
  • 1 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 ½ cup Powdered Sugar
  • 12 oz Orange Candy Melts
  • 6 oz Chocolate Candy Melts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven as instructed on the yellow cake mix box.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine yellow cake mix, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and softened butter. Mix until smooth using an electric mixer.
  3. Pour batter into a greased baking sheet and bake according to package directions, usually about 30 minutes.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely before crumbling it into fine pieces in a large bowl.
  5. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese and vanilla until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar.
  6. Fold cream cheese mixture into the crumbled cake until fully combined and form into one-inch balls.
  7. Chill the formed balls for about 30 minutes.
  8. Melt orange candy melts with vegetable shortening; dip each cake ball and let excess drip off.
  9. Melt chocolate candy melts and drizzle over coated pops for decoration once set.
