Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 white onion (finely diced)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
- ½ teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha (Optional)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 8 oz. water chestnuts (drained and diced)
- 2 green onions (thinly sliced)
- 1 head butter lettuce
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic, diced onions, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, grated ginger, sesame oil, sugar, and Sriracha; cook for another 2 minutes until onions are translucent.
- Mix in diced water chestnuts and green onions; season with salt and pepper. Heat for an additional minute.
