  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (divided)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (divided)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt (divided)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In one bowl, beat together peanut butter, softened butter, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in one egg and half the vanilla extract. Gradually add half the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter with white sugar and cocoa powder until smooth. Stir in the second egg and the remaining vanilla extract. Fold in the remaining flour, baking powder, salt, and chocolate chips.
  4. Chill both doughs for about 30 minutes.
  5. Scoop portions of each dough onto the prepared baking sheet side by side. Use a toothpick to swirl them together.
  6. Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Allow to cool before enjoying.
