Description

Hot Honey Chicken Biscuits are a mouthwatering blend of crispy fried chicken and a sweet-spicy honey drizzle, all nestled between warm, flaky buttermilk biscuits. Perfect for brunch, casual dinners, or gatherings, this dish is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 11/2 to 2 pounds chicken tenders
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cups buttermilk
  • 2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pot to medium-high for frying.
  2. Dredge chicken in seasoned flour (flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika), then dip in egg mixture and coat again with flour.
  3. Fry chicken pieces in hot oil until golden brown (about 8-10 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
  4. Preheat oven to 450°F and prepare biscuit dough by combining remaining flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and cold butter until crumbly; add buttermilk to form soft dough.
  5. Shape biscuits and bake for 15-17 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Prepare hot honey by simmering honey with red pepper flakes and apple cider vinegar.
  7. Assemble by placing fried chicken on each biscuit half and drizzling with hot honey.
