  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients: flour, spices, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add the egg, molasses, and vanilla extract; mix well.
  3. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until fully combined.
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters.
