  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 ¾ cups chicken broth
  • ¾ cup half and half
  • ½ chicken bouillon cube
  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • ½ lb. Shellbow pasta
  • ¾ teaspoon dried basil
  • ¾ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¾ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ¾ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine seasonings in a small bowl and set aside.
  2. In a soup pot over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons butter and sauté garlic with seasonings until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken broth, half and half, soy sauce, and crumbled bouillon; stir well.
  4. Bring to a boil, add Shellbow pasta, and cook according to package instructions while stirring occasionally.
  5. Reduce heat to low; stir in Parmesan until melted. Add lemon juice for brightness.
  6. Finish with the remaining tablespoon of butter; stir until combined before serving hot.
