- ¾ cup cornstarch
- ¾ cup buffalo sauce
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
- Garlic powder
- Chili powder (optional)
- Mustard powder
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix all sauce ingredients and set aside.
- Cut chicken into 2-inch pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- Whisk eggs in a bowl; coat chicken pieces in eggs, then in cornstarch.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan to 365°F (185°C) and fry chicken until golden brown (3-4 minutes per side).
- Drain excess oil on a wire rack, then toss the chicken in the Firecracker sauce.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake for 20 minutes, tossing halfway through.
