  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ¾ cup chicken broth
  • 1½ cups half and half
  • 10 oz. Rotel tomatoes with green chilies (juices reserved)
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese (softened)
  • â…“ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 20 oz. refrigerated ravioli
  • 1 pinch Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Measure out all ingredients to simplify the cooking process.
  2. In a large high-walled skillet over medium-low heat, melt the butter and sauté minced garlic for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the flour and cook for another 2 minutes, then add tomato paste, onion powder, basil, oregano, and mustard powder; mix well.
  4. Gradually add chicken broth while stirring continuously, followed by half and half. Bring to a boil before reducing heat to simmer.
  5. Mix in softened cream cheese and drained Rotel tomatoes; reserve juice for thinning if needed.
  6. Cook ravioli according to package instructions, drain once done.
  7. Reduce sauce heat to low and stir in grated Parmesan until fully combined. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
  8. Combine cooked ravioli with the sauce using a silicone spatula; add reserved tomato juice for desired consistency.
