  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 1 lb Italian sausage (casings removed)
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 1 (25 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mini pepperoni or chopped pepperoni

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and spray a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the sausage until no longer pink. Add diced onion and sliced mushrooms; cook until onions are translucent and mushrooms are tender. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and 1 cup of grated mozzarella until smooth.
  4. Layer half of the cream cheese mixture in the prepared baking dish, followed by half of the marinara sauce, half of the sausage mixture, and half of the pepperoni. Repeat the layers.
  5. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese and more pepperoni if desired.
  6. Bake for 20-30 minutes until melted and bubbly.
