- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp natural unsweetened cocoa powder
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted
- 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold (for topping)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for topping)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (for topping)
- Optional toppings: chocolate shavings, fresh fruit, mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prepare the crust by mixing Oreo crumbs and melted butter in a bowl. Press firmly into a 9-inch springform pan. Refrigerate to set.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and cocoa powder until smooth. Gradually mix in melted chocolate.
- Whip heavy cream in another bowl until stiff peaks form. Fold into the chocolate mixture until combined.
- Pour the filling over the crust and smooth it out. Cover and refrigerate for at least 5 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, whip additional heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Spread on top of cheesecake.
