- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ pound sweet Italian sausage
- 48 ounces spaghetti sauce
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF and spray a 9×13 casserole dish with cooking spray.
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef and sausage over medium heat; drain fat. Add garlic and spaghetti sauce, then simmer for five minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, 2 cups mozzarella, eggs, Parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Spread ¾ cup meat sauce in the baking dish. Layer three noodles, one-third cheese mixture, and one-fourth sauce; repeat layers until ingredients are used.
- On top, place remaining noodles, sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Add water around edges if needed.
- Cover with sprayed foil and bake for about 50 minutes; then uncover and bake for an additional ten minutes.
- Allow to rest for ten minutes before slicing.
