- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (7g)
- 2 teaspoons salt (10g)
- 1 3/4 cups warm water (415ml)
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (60ml), plus more for drizzling
- Fresh rosemary leaves for topping
- Coarse sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and salt. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Gradually mix in the bread flour and olive oil until a sticky dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead gently for about 5 minutes until smooth yet tacky.
- Place the dough back in the bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 to 1.5 hours).
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a baking sheet with olive oil.
- Punch down the risen dough and transfer it to the prepared baking sheet; stretch to fit the pan.
