Instructions

  3. In a large saucepan over high heat, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium.
  4. Stir in red food coloring and insert a candy thermometer. Boil until reaching Hard Crack stage (300-310°F), about 15-20 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let it sit briefly before dipping each apple into the mixture.
  6. Transfer coated apples onto the prepared baking sheet and allow them to cool completely.
