  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth. Gradually stir in boiling water.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  4. For frosting: Combine evaporated milk, sugar, butter, egg yolks, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat; stir until thickened. Mix in coconut and pecans.
