- 200 g Rump/Sirloin steak
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Corn/Potato Starch
- ½ Sweet Onion
- ½ Bell Pepper
- 2–3 Spring Onions
- 2–3 Birdseye Chillies
- 3 tbsp Sweet Chilli Sauce
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
Instructions
- Cut the beef into thin strips and marinate with the marinade ingredients for at least 15 minutes.
- Prepare the stir fry sauce by mixing all sauce ingredients in a bowl; set aside.
- Add one egg to the marinated beef and mix until coated.
- Coat the beef strips with corn/potato starch, ensuring they’re well separated.
- Heat oil to high heat (about 350°F). Fry beef strips for 1–2 minutes until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
- In a wok, heat oil and stir-fry onions for seconds before adding bell pepper slices.
- Add fried beef strips to the wok along with stir fry sauce, spring onions, and chillies. Stir well over high heat for 1–2 minutes.
- Serve hot with rice or noodles.
