Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • For frosting: cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the yeast by dissolving it in warm milk with one teaspoon of sugar; let it sit until frothy (about 10 minutes).
  2. Combine remaining sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs into the yeast mixture. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl to rise for about one hour until doubled in size.
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture, then scatter blueberries on top.
  6. Roll tightly and cut into 12 equal pieces. Arrange in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for approximately 25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For frosting, beat cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth; spread over warm rolls before serving.
