- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup beef stock
- 5 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp kosher salt
- 2 tbsp coarse ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your Traeger grill to Smoke mode (or Super Smoke for Timberline) with the lid open for about 5 minutes.
- Set the temperature to 225°F and preheat with the lid closed for around 10 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine all rub ingredients: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chili powder, kosher salt, black pepper, and brown sugar.
- Generously coat the brisket on all sides with the rub.
- Place the brisket fat side down on the grill grate and cook until it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (approximately 3-4 hours).
- Mix together your baste ingredients in a bowl.
