  • 2/3 cup thick BBQ sauce (divided)
  • 2 teaspoons Kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons unsalted liquid smoke

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a rimmed sheet pan with aluminum foil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs and spices.
  3. Add milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke; mix well.
  4. Incorporate ground beef and onion until combined. Shape into a loaf on the sheet pan.
  5. Pour half the BBQ sauce over the meatloaf; bake for 35 minutes.
  6. Add remaining sauce and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
  7. Allow resting for 15 minutes before slicing.
